
East Bay Rowing Club Summer Youth Rowing Camps
East Bay Rowing Club is offering summer youth rowing camp sessions to students in grades 8-12 from all Bay Area schools.
- Novice rowers will learn basic rowing skills and progress to rowing in racing shells on the Oakland Estuary.
- Experienced rowers will enhance skills, build fitness, and learn training and racing strategies.
- All rowers will learn good sportsmanship, leadership skills, team building, and how to challenge themselves.
Dates
Session 1 — Novice (no rowing experience)
June 11th–15th, 8:00–11:00 am
Session 2 — Novice
June 25–29th, 8:00–11:00 am
Session 3 — Novice
July 16–20th, 8:00–11:00 am
Session 4 — Advanced (Oakland Tech Varsity or novices who participated in at least one week of Novice camp)
July 23–27th, 8:00–11:00 am
Session 5 — Advanced
August 6–10th, 8:00–11:00 am
Oakland Tech Varsity rowers may attend the Novice sessions at a 50% discount and can expect to row 50% of the time and assist 50% of the time. There is no discount for the Advanced sessions.
REGISTRATION
All sessions are $150. Discounts are offered for Youth Camps for referring a friend who signs up, siblings, and multiple sessions. Scholarships available as needed, upon request.

Lake Merritt Summer Youth Rowing
Oakland Tech rowers who help at the Lake Merritt Summer Youth Rowing camp for beginning rowers will be eligible to row on their own free of charge. This is a great opportunity to improve sculling technique and stay in shape over the summer. Contact Coach Brandon for additional information.
