East Bay Rowing Club Summer Youth Rowing Camps
East Bay Rowing Club is offering summer youth rowing camp sessions to students entering grades 8-12 from all Bay Area schools.
- Novice rowers will learn basic rowing skills and progress to rowing in racing shells on the Oakland Estuary.
- Experienced rowers will enhance skills, build fitness, and learn training and racing strategies.
- All rowers will learn good sportsmanship, leadership skills, team building, and how to challenge themselves.
2019 Summer Camp Dates
Session 1 — Novice (no rowing experience)
June 10–14, 8:00–11:00 am
Session 2 — Novice
June 24–28, 8:00–11:00 am
Session 3 — Novice
July 8–12, 8:00–11:00 am
Session 4 — Advanced (Oakland Tech Varsity or novices who participated in at least one week of Novice camp)
July 15–19, 8:00–11:00 am
Session 5 — Advanced
July 29-August 2, 8:00–11:00 am
Oakland Tech Varsity rowers may attend the Novice sessions at a 50% discount and can expect to row 50% of the time and assist 50% of the time. There is no discount for the Advanced sessions.
Class size is limited to the first 18 registrants. All sessions are $150 per session. Discounts are offered for Youth Camps for referring a friend who signs up, siblings, and multiple sessions. Scholarships available as needed, upon request.
